Solar for your Business.

Solar Benefits

We are a turn key solar provider that will handle the design, permitting, procurement and installation from start to finish for existing or new build commercial projects.  Commercial property's typically have large amounts of available roof space, allowing for scale of economy pricing and removing a large base load of the building's electricity demand.

Just a few of the key benefits of installing solar for your business or commercial property are:
  • Lower and even eliminate some of your monthly electricity bills
  • Lower operational costs and increase profit margins
  • Protect yourself from volatile and rising electricity prices in the future
  • Zero carbon emissions at time of energy production
  • Increase your business' curb appeal and property value
  • Became a renewable energy leader and role model in your community and business sector

System Monitoring

Lifetime monitoring of the solar system is a standard package with every project.

The monitoring can be accessed from your computer or mobile device and shows in depth information on the system performance including:
  • Lifetime, Monthly and Daily Energy Production
  • Comparative Views to Previous Time Periods
  • Individual Solar Module Monitoring ( Specific Inverters Required)
  • System Alerts to Minimize Down Time

Commercial Solar Economics

Alberta has a great solar resource producing an average of 1,210 kWh / m2 /year.  This is a high ratio compared to some of the regions of the renewable energy leaders in the world, such as Germany, which only produce 1,058 kWh/ m2/ year.  Global Solar Atlas.

The cost for a solar system can vary significantly for commercial properties depending on a few critical factors:
  • Site conditions such as solar array tilt, orientation, shading and available space
  • Business yearly energy consumption
  • Existing electrical equipment ( may need to be upgraded to accommodate large solar arrays)
  • Available incentives and rebates

An important metric to consider when investing in a solar system is the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).  LCOE is the up front cost and maintenance of the solar system divided by the total amount of energy the system will produce (30 year expected system life).  A typical commercial LCOE can range anywhere from $0.05/kWh to $0.07/kWh.  Essentially this means you are paying for 30 years worth of electricity as low as $0.05/kWh.  Comparing this to the current prices around $0.11/kWh and the expected 3% to 5% /year increase over the next 30 years really shows security of low electricity prices by owning your own solar system.  Commercial properties may also have special electricity rate structures that penalize you during high demands and time of use which will also be significantly lowered if solar energy is being produced on site.
