Alberta - Clean Energy Improvement Program ​

​The CEIP program offers residencies in certain municipalities (including Edmonton) to offset capital the cost of Solar PV & other efficiency upgrades and for it to be paid back through the property taxes. ​

The city of Edmonton rebate program has now ended. 
(Previously offering $0.40 off every watt of Solar PV installed on your existing home & $0.30/W for new construction, up to $4,000 back.)​

​Canada  - Greener Homes Grant / Loan
The Canadian government is offering up to $5,000 back for solar installations for existing homes! Systems are eligible for $1.00/W up to the $5,000 limit (5 kW). Other energy savings projects also qualify for funding, but all require EnerGuide evaluations before & after the measures are implemented.  They are also offering up to a $40K interest free loan to compete these upgrades, to be paid back in 10 years.
